Hello World!
Hello World!
After so long, more than 10 years, that I have kept a low-key profile, I would like to be open to the world again by starting my personal blog.
This new beginning will be more exciting and deeply thoughtful than my previous blogs when I was a student in Hanoi, Vietnam. I stopped blogging a long time ago, as life has changed so much for a young; things came and gone, people came and gone, and my heart and soul have been transformed by traces and scars.
I took a long time to ponder life and the world and untangle myself from the tangled things that came to me. Now, as I become more apparent in my mind and purer in spirit, this is the time to give back my thinking to the universe.
Because this is the first post, I want to insert a beautiful image. Looking for a photo on my laptop, I found only the picture of Prince Tran Hung Dao - a famous general in Vietnamese history, during the TRAN dynasty.
This great general led the Vietnamese people to defeat three times the invasion of the Mongolian empire, the most powerful army in the world in the 13th century. Being Vietnamese, holding this pride in my heart, but not arrogant, I keep his photo on my laptop. So by reading these lines, you know that this blog is unmistakably 100% written by a Vietnamese, who grew up in Vietnam, lived in France for 9 years, and now living in New York City. Being abroad for more than 10 years, I never forget my origin and Vietnamese culture, although I also respect and admire the beauty of other cultures.
As I studied only 4 years at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and spent most of my youth in the West, I struggled to identify myself among different communities and international friends. My concepts have been challenged as they have been exposed to other things that work as they are but not in the same way in Vietnamese society. Fortunately and magically, from being lost at first, I started to recognize myself more deeply and clearly than before. Being myself, I respire fresh energy and innovation again.
Hope each word in this blog will carry the vitality as spring always comes back after a cold winter.
